I'm an Instructional Designer and Learning and Development Specialist. As a former educator, my extensive skill set and love for lifelong learning have proven transferable into the instructional design world.
I obtained a master’s degree in Instruction, which afforded me the opportunity to dig deeper into curriculum development and design. I discovered breaking big ideas into smaller manageable parts for others was a passion.
I love to travel and lived and taught in Shanghai, China, where I learned how to navigate a new, beautiful culture and language. When I returned to the United States, I moved into a leadership role where I used my creativity and knowledge to support adult learners to design, develop, and evaluate learning solutions for an international program. I acquired expertise in assessing situations, identifying areas for improvement, and developing plans of action to drive successful outcomes.
I utilize adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create Instructor Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT), blended learning, and eLearning courses. I have years of experience planning and developing meaningful learning experiences to help improve instructional outcomes. I discovered these were all things I really enjoyed and wanted to continue to learn more about as an instructional designer.
I formalized my instructional design journey at Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA), an ATD-certified comprehensive training. In this program, I earned certificates (you can see these at the bottom of this page) that helped me progress in my journey as an Instructional Designer. I really enjoy working on eLearning projects and being creative with technology.
I would love the opportunity to help your organization meet your business objectives and learning goals. If you have a position, contract, or project that you believe is a good fit for my skill set, please feel free to reach out to me and connect through my Email or LinkedIn.
